I ran across these cupcakes on Flickr. They belong to Shamima Desai, who lives in South Africa and, apparently, is a marzipan artist/Goddess. I would like to be her friend.
How can we befriend her? What do we make that's really good, that might photograph and travel well? Spinach-tomato-anchovy pasta? That brie in pastry? Bologna and cheese sandwiches on white bread with chips? Akmak crackers with got cheese and olive tapenade? Invite her out to the chophouse for mashed potatoes and turkey wraps, or is that too intimate?
I would like to take pictures of all the food we eat. As we eat it. And then post it. And then think about it.
I was telling a friend last night that I would KILL for a bologna sandwich with cheese and real mayo and chips on white bread. Or our special sandwiches. I'm still doing South Beach and am starving.
